HVAC

What Do You Do When It Is Cold Outside?

You come home to enjoy the warmth of the home. So, to make the home comfortable, we require maintaining a comfortable environment inside the home. This is achieved by heating the rooms in winter and air-conditioning the rooms in summer. This is not only required at home also in offices also this service is essential. This artificial climate control system is so popular in these days. This is achieved by joining more than three processing stages. Let it be in ground or in air, this artificial climate control system is used widely. For this job there is a profession known as HVAC. This stands for Heating Ventilation and Air-conditioning. This is also sometimes called as climate control as it actually controls the climate inside the rooms and makes the rooms comfortable to stay. Sometimes refrigeration is also added to these services then this comes to be known as HVAC&R. Still, in some countries the same thing is referred to as building services. This is because the heating and air-conditioning solutions come with the construction company itself while they are building the building. For small buildings the HVAC systems may be bought separately but for the big buildings the HVAC system comes in the building plan itself carefully crafted by engineers specializing in this field. In some places the electrical and plumbing are also included in these services.

From the acronym itself it can be well understood that this service is the combination of heating ventilation and air-conditioning. Hence they are very closely interlaced in this service. The HVAC systems are used to provide comfortable air temperature inside. So to make the room comfortable the ventilation is also made good. Ventilation is all about how air is delivered and removed from the room. This is also sometimes referred to as room air distribution. In modern buildings the air distribution system heating system and their control system are integrated in one or more HVAC systems. For larger buildings the law requires the architect designer and the engineers building the project analyze the project and recommend them and specialty mechanical contractors build them according to the recommendation.

The HVAC is a huge industry. The career opportunities are maintenance, operators, system manufacture and their sales, system designing and even research in this field.

The heating in this system are achieved either by central heating for large buildings and local heating systems for small buildings. But whatever the heating system, the rooms are usually cooled by convection current.

Ventilation is the exchange of the indoor air with the external air. This is particularly important as if the internal air is blocked inside the room then the air becomes stale and unhygienic. There are two types of ventilation natural and forced ventilation.

The air conditioning system is the combination of heating, cooling, ventilation and dehumidifier. The air conditioned air is generally taken from the condenser unit to the rooms by either by duct or pipelines.
